There was a meeting this morning for all girls interested in trying out for soccer this year. We discussed the need to have a physical (if you haven't already had one for a sport this year), Being respectful to all players trying out and the importance of being in shape when try-outs start. It was also stated that we are looking for the 16 best players and that being on the team last year is NOT a guarantee that you will be on the team this year.
Coach Lockrow and I would also appreciate it if parents would stay in the parking lot during try-outs and let us evaluate the players on their own merit. This is my twentieth year as a soccer coach in Hamilton County and Ms. Lockrow's 7th year, we have a system for evaluating players and we will do our best to choose the 16 best players for our system of play.
Soccer ability is 90% of the equation, but character and grades will also play a role in our selection.
